Passages from Genesis to Isaiah Containing the Word "Stand"

In Exodus God tells Moses to “stand still, and behold the salvation of the Lord which He will show you this day.” Exodus 14:13.
We have a warning in Leviticus that if the people turn from God, “They shall fall also one upon another, as before a sword, though none pursue them, and ye shall not be able to stand before your enemies.” Leviticus 26:37
In Deuteronomy 10:8 the tribe of Levi is told to “stand before the Lord.”
Later we are told that if we will diligently keep God’s commandments, talking of His ways not just the 10 commandments, then “no man shall stand against you,” Deut. 12:25
In the book of Joshua we have a lot of encouragement from God to stand against enemies.
The nation of Israel is told, “Now also stand and see this great thing which the Lord will do before your eyes.” 1 Samuel 12:16
2 Chronicles 9:7 says this: "Happy are thy men, and happy are these thy servants, which stand before thee always, and hear thy wisdom."
In Esther chapter 8 the king encourages the Jews to “stand for their life.”
Job tells his friends the deal in saying, “For I am sure that my Redeemer liveth, and he shall stand the last on the earth.” Job 19:25.
Of course later on, one of Job’s friends says the following which sounds pretty good except for the fact that his heart is not right and God blasts him later. Still, we catch his drift. “Hearken unto this, O Job: stand and consider the wondrous works of God.” Job 37:14.
The very first Psalm says this: “Blessed is the man that doth not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2.
Psalm 20:8 says, “They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen, and stand upright.”
I'm glad to know this: “The counsel of the Lord shall stand forever, and the thoughts of his heart throughout all ages.” That’s Psalm 33:11.
Another Psalm says, “My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my Covenant shall stand fast with him.” Psalm 89:28.
Here is Psalm 102:28. ”The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall stand fast in thy sight.”
Proverbs 12:7 says that, “God overthroweth the wicked, and they are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.”
Proverbs 19:21, “Many devices are in a man’s heart: but the counsel of the Lord shall stand.”
“Anger is cruel, and wrath is raging: but who can stand before envy?” Proverbs 27:4.
Ecclesiastes 4:12 tells us that, “And if one overcome him, two shall stand against him: and a threefold cord is not easily broken.”
Isaiah speaks of what’s going to go down when our enemies try to defeat us. “Take counsel together, yet, it shall be brought to naught: pronounce a decree, yet shall it not stand: for God is with us.” Isaiah 8:10.
Isaiah 11:10 prophesies of the coming of Christ when he says, “And in that day the root of Jesse, which shall stand up for a sign unto the people, the nations shall seek unto it, and his rest shall be glorious.”
Some fightin' words concerning those in Israel who believe and turn to God right here. “And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand: when a scourge shall run over and pass through, then shall ye be trodden down by it.” Isaiah 28:18.
Isaiah 40:8 has some powerful words of comfort. “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever.”
Isaiah 51:17 “Awake, awake, and stand up, O Jerusalem, which hast drunk at the hand of the Lord the cup of his wrath: thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.”
