Restrain the Lips
In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise. (Proverbs 10:19 NKJV)
Ladies, the second half of this verse is a great one to memorize. How many times have you said something to someone and immediately wished you had not? Restrain your lips. How many times do we "speak our minds" and two seconds later you think, oh, boy that wasn't such a good idea? Restrain your lips. How many times have you just had enough and great was the fall out thereof? Restrain your lips. Walk away. Be WISE.
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (Matthew 6:33 NKJV)"
Here's our plan. Here's our direction.

The Joy of Good Health
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men." (Colossians 3:23 NKJV)
I just experienced the joy of good health. I did not experience it by good health, but by the briefest period of feeling awful. I just realized I take so very much for granted and I don't often think of the other side of good health. The empathy I feel for others who walk this path constantly is overwhelming.
Not that we should feel "guilty" for feeling good, but the lesson here is to appreciate, be thankful for, embrace, grasp, delight in and enjoy your good health. Enjoy the fact that you are able to work hard, spend your day chasing little ones all over, cooking, cleaning, wiping noses, bottoms, and repeat, repeat, repeat...
If this is not your stage of life, or season that you are in then it is for you to enjoy whatever you are doing. Don't wish away your stage of life, phase, or season that you are in. Embrace and live to the fullest!

Mercy
"Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man." (Proverbs 3:3-4 KJV)
Love, love this scripture.
Mercy: kind or forgiving treatment of someone who could be treated harshly. Kindness or help given to people who are in a very bad or desperate situation.
Mercy: compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one's power; compassion, pity, or benevolence.
Never really thought of mercy in terms of extending it to those who have hurt you, offended you, done you wrong in some kind of way. But there you go, both definitions above tell us that very thing, that mercy is the kind or forgiving treatment of someone who has offended you, an enemy, etc.
So ladies let not mercy forsake you. Do it, extend mercy, write mercy upon your heart.
Of course truth:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth
Truth is most often used to mean being in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity to an original or to a standard or ideal.
www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/truth
The truth : the real facts about something: the things that are true, the quality or state of being true.
I love the part of the definition that said "fidelity to an original or to a standard or ideal."
So bind the STANDARD, the IDEAL, the ORIGINAL TRUTH around you neck and write the TRUTH upon your heart.
Read on; there is a reward for obedience, for following His ways, for binding mercy and truth.

Commit Your Works
"Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established." (Proverbs 16:3 NKJV)
Here's another just "do it" verse. It is within your own power to make this decision. Not contingent upon anyone else, the weather, the stock market, etc... Your thoughts of worry, envy, mistrust, anger, hatred, jealousy sound like a list of the unfruit of the Spirit. Let the Lord control your thoughts!

Happiness vs. Blessing
Happiness is self focused.
Being blessed is a result from seeking to please the Lord. He wants us to seek blessing because blessings are a bi-product of obedience, submission, and trusting Him.
When we are blessable we are seeking to please the Lord. When we seek to be happy we are seeking to please ourself.
Blessings are the fruit of your walk with the Lord.
You are the tree and your fruit should be the result of your journey with the Lord. Sometimes just like a tree you might have a rough season. A time where you don't bear much fruit because you need a season of intense nurturing. Some 10-10-10 to your roots. Interpretation: a time of refreshing and pouring God's word into your spirit. We should never be far from God's word pouring into us. Just like a great spring rain brings new life, new fruit, and new greenery to our trunk and all the way up to the tip top of our outer branches, so washes over us the Word of the Lord and His Spirit. This fruit, this joy, the overflow to others is the Lord's working in you.
"Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass." (Psalms 37:4-5 KJV)

Don't Worry Be Thankful
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; (Philippians 4:6" NKJV)
Learn this verse, love this verse, live by this verse.
Are you in a situation that seems impossible? Pray and give up your answer. Pray and allow the Lord to do what's best. The old saying don't worry be happy....well the scriptures tell us DON'T WORRY BE THANKFUL.

Mourning into Dancing
"You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness." (Psalms 30:11 NKJV)
This is what the Lord will do for you. But, beware you have an enemy who desperately wants to keep you in mourning and in sadness. It's kinda like his full time job of which we need to be on guard.
